Everyone should be able to share in the magic of a heritage train journey through the Pichi Richi Pass, and we work hard to welcome visitors of all abilities. We are a heritage railway with historic carriages and mostly ground-level stations, so access is different from a modern train, but our volunteers will do everything they reasonably can to help you enjoy your visit.
Please talk to us before you book. The more we know about what you need, the more we can arrange. Contact us on 1800 777 245 or
Download our Accessibility Guide for detailed information on parking, boarding, accessible toilets, on-board assistance, mobility aids, and how to tell us about your needs before you travel.
We are guided by our Disability Action and Inclusion Plan, adopted by our Board in September 2025, which sets out how we are removing barriers and improving access year on year, including installing wheelchair lifters and accessible facilities across our services.
If there is anything we can do to make your journey easier, please get in touch. Your feedback also helps us keep improving.
