Pichi Richi Railway has two Outback Dinner trains in December, powered by an historic Old Ghan diesel locomotive hauling genuine timber bodied carriages. The train departs from Port Augusta Railway Station at 5pm for an evening run into the Pichi Richi Pass.
Watch as the setting sun paints the hills in the colours of the outback. The train stops at the Old Willows Brewery Restaurant for a delicious three course meal. Feeling replete, reboard the train for a night-time return to Port Augusta (arriving 11.50pm).
