Join our heritage railway which has been restored and run by volunteers since 1973, and support us in preserving the 1878-built railway and a nationally significant collection of heritage steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, rolling stock, buildings and heritage registered bridges. We are located in Quorn in the heart of the timeless Flinders Ranges, less than four hours from Adelaide and just 30 minutes from Port Augusta.
If you share our interest in conserving the narrow-gauge railway through Quorn and the Pichi Richi Pass as an operating museum, we encourage you to apply for membership of the Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society Inc.
Members receive the Pichi Richi Patter journal, the opportunity to become more involved in the Society and volunteer, and one free train ride each year. Full and Student members have voting rights at General Meetings.

Membership categories and 2025 membership fees
- Full membership: $80. Available to persons at least 18 years of age.
- Associate membership: $40. Available to persons at least 18 years of age who normally reside with a full member.
- Student membership: $80. Available to persons at least 18 years of age and less than 25 years of age who have a current student ID card.
- Junior membership: $16. Available to persons under 18 years of age.
- Corporate membership: $160. Available to corporations, companies and organisations.
A joining fee of $5 applies to full memberships and $3.50 for student memberships.
All ages in the above definitions are taken as of 1 January in the current calendar year.
