The Transcontinental and Pichi Richi Explorer both depart Quorn at 10:30am and travel as a double header to Woolshed Flat. The Transcontinental continues to Port Augusta and passengers have plenty of time to enjoy lunch or visit the many attractions before departing Port Augusta at 2:30pm for a 4:30 arrival in Quorn.

Hordes of photographers and onlookers are expected at Quorn on Monday 25 April, when Pichi Richi Railway’s ‘Troop Train’ stages a recreation of days gone by, a fitting way to commemorate Anzac Day.

Bring along your favourite bear for a special steam train ride on Richi Railway’s “Teddy Bear’s Picnic” train departing Quorn on Sunday 3 October 2010. There’s fun for the family with games, prizes and a teddy bear’s parade.
